Xingjuan (Jane) Chao, Ph.D. is a co-founder of our company and has served as a member of our board of directors and as our Chief Executive Officer since October 2015, and as our President since July 2016. Prior to joining Ceribell, Dr. Chao served as Principal Manager of Portfolio Management Strategy at Genentech, Inc., a biotechnology company, from June 2014 until August 2015, and as Senior Strategy Manager at Novartis AG, a pharmaceutical company, from January 2013 until June 2014. Dr. Chao previously served as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, a consulting company, from July 2007 until January 2013. Dr. Chao has served on the board of directors of Magnus Medical, Inc., a medical equipment company, since November 2021. Dr. Chao received a B.S. in chemistry from Peking University and a Ph.D. in biophysics from Cornell University.

Raymond Woo, Ph.D.has served as our Chief Technology Officer since February 2017, and previously served as our Vice President of Engineering from June 2016 until February 2017. Prior to joining our company, Dr. Woo held various roles at OptiMedica Corporation, an ophthalmic device company, from September 2011 until its acquisition by Abbott Medical Optics, Inc. (“Abbott”), a manufacturer of ophthalmic care products, in 2013. Dr. Woo subsequently held various roles at Abbott from August 2013 until May 2016, including most recently as the Global Head, Femtosecond Laser R&D. Previously, Dr. Woo served as Senior Engineer at Exponent Failure Analysis Associates, an engineering and scientific consulting firm, from January 2009 until September 2011. Dr. Woo received a B.S. in electrical engineering and computer science from Duke University and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Stanford University.

Scott Blumberg has served as our Chief Financial Officer since April 2020. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Blumberg served as Managing Advisor at Venture Forward Advisory Services, an advisory firm, from June 2014 until December 2020, as Director of Business Development at IDEV Technologies, Inc., a medical device company, from February 2009 until January 2014, as an Analyst at Bay City Capital, an investment firm, from July 2006 until January 2009, and as an Investment Banking Analyst at Bank of America from June 2004 until June 2006. Mr. Blumberg received an A.B. in economics from Dartmouth College.

Joshua Copp joined Ceribell in September 2023 and serves as our Chief Business Officer. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Copp held various roles at McKinsey & Company from October 2012 until September 2023, including most recently as Partner, and also served as an Analyst for the Boston Consulting Group from August 2007 until August 2010. Mr. Copp received an A.B. in applied mathematics from Harvard University and an M.B.A. from the M.I.T. Sloan School of Management.

Louisa Daniels has served as General Counsel of Ceribell since August 2023. Ms. Daniels has been practicing law for over 30 years and oversees all legal and compliance matters for Ceribell. Ms. Daniels has a track record of successful execution with both private and public life sciences and technology companies, including in connection with commercial product launches, and resolution of complex litigation, compliance and other corporate matters. Ms. Daniels has worked for several global biopharmaceutical companies in her career. Before Ceribell, Ms. Daniels was Chief Legal Officer and Chief Compliance Officer for Recursion Pharmaceuticals, a clinical-stage company focused on AI-enabled drug discovery, which she helped take public in April 2021. From 2008 to 2021, Ms. Daniels served as Vice President and Assistant General Counsel at Pfizer, where she held various management positions including Chief Counsel for Global Product Development; Global Commercial Operations, Strategy & Portfolio Management; and both BioTherapeutics and PharmaTherapeutics R&D. Prior to Pfizer, she worked as in-house counsel at Elan Pharmaceuticals and Tularik Inc., which was acquired by Amgen during her tenure. Ms. Daniels received a B.A. and J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley and an M.B.A. from the University of California, Irvine (Paul Merage School of Business).

Baharan Kamousi, Ceribell’s SVP of Data Science, joined Ceribell in 2017 with over 15 years of algorithm design experience for various medical applications spanning from Brain-Computer Interface, bioelectricity and audiometry to diagnostic and treatment algorithms for chronic diseases such as cardiac arrhythmias and heart failure, chronic pain, urinary incontinence and brain stimulation. She started her career at St. Jude Medical in the clinical systems engineering department where she gained extensive experience in all aspects of medical device and algorithms product lifecycle for various cardiovascular and neuromodulation applications and later joined a start-up company, Element Science, to design a machine learning algorithm for a wearable cardioverter defibrillator for patients at high risk of sudden cardiac arrest. Baharan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology and has completed her Master’s and Ph.D. programs at University of Minnesota ECE department and as a visiting researcher at Stanford University, School of Medicine.

Sean Manni joins Ceribell after more than 25 years in the healthcare industry. Most recently, he served as Vice President, North America Sales at Omnicell, a healthcare service company. Mr. Manni’s high-impact go-to-market strategies helped Omnicell achieve 4x growth in annual revenue during his tenure there. While at Omnicell , Mr. Manni oversaw the growth of a large sales organization and transitioned the business to a SaaS-oriented model, fueling company expansion to become a leader in its space. Previously, Mr. Manni served at several healthcare companies including Stinger Medical, Arrow International, and GlaxoSmithKline plc. Throughout his career, Mr. Manni has successfully driven transformative change by engaging with national health systems, spearheading commercial innovation, and maintaining a steadfast commitment to a people-first strategy. Mr. Manni obtained his Bachelor’s degree from East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania.

Alex Grant, Ceribell’s VP of Engineering, joined the company in 2015 to work on developing and commercializing its first EEG system. Before joining Ceribell, Alex’s academic research focused on development of novel non-invasive medical imaging technologies, including NIR spectroscopy and PET/MRI for cancer detection and staging. Alex holds a Ph.D. and Master’s degree in Bioengineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from UC Irvine.

Dan Rogy, Ceribell’s VP of Operation, has over 25 years of medical equipment and disposable device Operations and R&D management experience. He led the R&D and Operation Teams at Outset Medical to commercialize a novel Hemodialysis system. Dan was General Manager at Abbott Laboratories, after the acquisition of OptiMedica, where he was responsible for all medical capital equipment and disposable device operations. Previously he was Director of R&D at Adiana, acquired by Cytyc Corporation, leading the development and manufacturing of a complex disposable implant and RF Generator. He also held operational management roles at Eli Lilly/Guidant Corporation supplying equipment to manufacturing sites in England, Ireland and the US. Dan has multiple patents for disposable and implant devices and completed his business degree at Illinois Central College.

Dave Foehr, Ceribell’s VP of Finance, has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Before joining Ceribell, Dave was VP of Finance and Corporate Controller at Fluidigm Corporation, a biotechnology company based in South San Francisco. Prior to Fluidigm, Dave held various Finance roles at Stryker Endoscopy and Johnson & Johnson. Dave began his career at Chevron as part of their MBA Development Program. Dave holds an MBA in Finance & Corporate Accounting from the University of Rochester and a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from Villanova University.

Jessy Dorn, Ceribell’s VP of Clinical Affairs, has over 15 years of experience in medical device clinical research. Prior to joining Ceribell in 2022, she was VP of Clinical and Scientific Research at Second Sight Medical Products, Inc. a medical device company that develops and manufactures retinal and cortical implants to create artificial vision for thre blind. At Second Sight, Jessy was responsible for clinical and regulatory strategy, clinical trial design, and basic clinical research aimed at improving the safety and efficacy of visual prostheses. Jessy holds a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from UCLA and a BA in Biology from the University of Chicago.

Kevin Kearney, Ceribell’s VP of Health Systems, has over 18 years of commercial medical device leadership experience in Fortune 500 companies. Throughout his career, Kevin has specialized in bringing new innovative technologies to the market. Prior to joining Ceribell in 2019 Kevin built and successfully led several national sales teams responsible for commercializing disruptive technologies within the OR and Ophthalmology space. Most recently he was the VP of Sales for an innovative tele-health solution targeting diabetic retinopathy. He has consistently executed on delivering business results and building highly functional sales teams. Kevin holds a BA from the University of Wisconsin and a MBA from Saint Louis University.

Rebecca Lacey, Ceribell’s VP of Reading Service & Medical Partnerships, joined Ceribell in 2023. Throughout her career, Rebecca has specialized in operations at large medical groups and telehealth companies. Previous to joining Ceribell, Rebecca was the Vice President of On Demand Services at Iris Telehealth. Prior to that role, she worked at Blue Sky Telehealth/CarePoint Health as Vice President of Operations where she managed a variety of service lines including neurology, neurocritical care, neurosurgery, and hospitalist medicine. While overseeing operations for Blue Sky Telehealth, Rebecca’s contributions were instrumental in the company’s expansion to over 250 telehealth sites across the country. Rebecca has a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration with a specialization in healthcare administration.

Mat Jachim, VP of Commercial Operations, joined Ceribell in 2022. Throughout his career, Mat has specialized in scaling and operationalizing commercial teams in companies ranging in size from start-ups to Fortune 50 organizations. Prior to joining Ceribell, Mat was the Sr. Director of Commercial Operations at iRhythm Technologies where he successfully implemented strategies to streamline operations, increase sales productivity, and led efforts to provide Cardiac Monitoring in the Primary Care setting. Previously, Mat held positions with Veritas Technologies, Oracle, and Comcast Corp where he held roles in Sales Operations, Marketing Operations and Product Marketing. Mat holds an MBA from Santa Clara University with a specialization in Marketing.
